which is faster the 660 raptor or the yfz 450? and how fast does each one go?
Raptor Should Be able to smoke the hell out of it since both are 4 stroke and one is 450 cc and the other is 660 cc.I mean Come ON NOW!!!
I have a yfz 450 and my cousin has a raptor and my yfz smokes the hell out of the raptor!
WOULNT IT DEPEND ON THE RIDER, OVIOUSLY THE RAPTOR WOULD WIN GOING STRAIGHT BECAUSE ITS 210CC'S LARGER THAN THE YZF. I GUESS IT JUST MATTERS IF YOUR A PUSSY OR NOT
ok the dam yfz kicks the shit out of the raptor my yfz is jetted, knn, t4 pipe, and some dress up shit
my friends raptor is jetted, knn, power core4 pipe, and some painted stuff
mine smokes the hell out of if
hes only lost to two yfzs and mine and another ones
it doesnt matter on the engine displacement anymore i mean i had a banshee, and it was a 350 cc and it smoked alot of wheelers
The raptor would get eatin by the YFZ they are a different class engine the Yfz is takin straight outta of a YZF 450 Dirtbike and the 660 is a differnt style.
i have road the raptor and the yfz and the yfz kicked the trash out of it so im going to ride the yfz
If the raptor was so fast why did yamaha ever come out with the 450? I've had both and the 450 is a better machine
I AM READY TO GET A NEW QUAD. I HAVE JUSTB TRASHED MY 01 RAPTOR 660 A BROKEN AXLE HUB WHICH I ASSUME WAS CAUSED BY THE TRANNY GOING OUT. WHICH SHOULD I GET . I DONT RIDE TRAILS JUST MOSTLY STREET.
the yfz has a shit load more technlogy in it which makes it faster and plus it only weighs 350 pounds and the raptor weighs 398. it has the best power to weight ratio in its class.
well the banshee is twin 350cc....so its 700cc...!!
I hope you were being sarcastic, othwerwise youre a moron. The banshee has two 175 cc cylinders, not two 350cc cylinders. The yfz is a much better bike all arouind than the raptor, unless our fatass is too lazy to get off and pull it backwards
the yfz is BUILT for racing. it is lighter, it has better parts, and it has a high performance motor. u ever notice the difference between an XR500 and a CRF250R? yes, it may have more cc's, but the motor is really built to be ridden that hard. thats why they call it it CHICK BIKE... Anyways, the RAPTOR would get its @$$ smoked. i know from experience and common sense.
the banshee has two 175 cc, you fucking DUMBASS
Althought the raptor is a 660cc the yfz has a bigger bore displacment on it. the YFZs displacement is 11:0.1 were the raptor stock is 9:0.1, so almost equaling them out in displacement output. So in this they are close. However, if you put a big bore 11:2.1 displacment kit on the raptor, which they have available for a good price, you will most certainly smoke the YFZ 450 because you will bump the raptor from a 660cc to a 727cc.
you idiot yfz 450 is a two stroke
HEY DIPSHIT THE DISPLACEMENT IS THE CC'S YOUR TALKING ABOUT THE COMPRESSION RATIOS GET IT RIGHT OR QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU KNOW IT ALL DAMN I HATE NOOB'S
NO SHIT PLUS IT'S TWO STROKE WHAT A DUMBASS
The Banshee is usually good for the street
Have you ever eaten paint chips?
I already know for sure that the 450 will beat a Raptor stock, so that part is out of the way. Now lets take some Raptor 101. The Raptor is only 9 to 1 compression stock and the 450 is 11.9 to 1 stock(so basically 12 to 1). In order for the Raptor to meet the standards of the U.S. forest services it also has a very small cam unlike the cam on the 450, because of the size of the 450 being smaller yamaha was able to put alot of compression and a bigger cam in it and still meet the standards of the forest services. Now take a motor thats 660 cc's like the raptor and bore it over to a 690, raise the compression up to 13 to 1, put a huge aftermarket cam in it, and port it. With this done to the motor the power output will be around 67 H.P. with the right guy doing the head work. Now take the 450 raise the compression to 13 to 1, bore it, stroke it 5mm, port it and everything els you want to do to it and the most they are getting out of the stroker 505's is 54 H.P., and thats a high dyno. The 450's running at Four Stroke Wars are running around 54 H.P. with custom pistons and cams. So the whole key to the story is yeah the 450 is faster stock than a Raptor, but once you get that Raptor worked on with a little aftermarket goodies the show is turn out the lights and the 450 is over no matter what you got done to it. At Four Stroke Wars they had a honda 450 that was bored to a honda 480 running on nitro methane and the whole works that just got its ass handed to it by a 780 stroker raptor running regular fuel, not to mention it would have lost to several other Raptors there that just didnt get the chance to race in that race. Oh and dont even try to go off on how the honda is slower than the yfz, the only reason why the yamaha is just a little faster stock is because the honda is lower compression stock, once you get the compression the same on the honda its all on who's the better rider, because both the yamaha and honda are designed and engineered the same exact way. In fact guess who won the 450 class at four stroke wars: the honda 450 which beat a 505 stroker yfz. The funny thing is the honda was only a 470. The weight of the 450 is anotther andvantage over the Raptor but 48 pounds doesnt make up for a bike that has had dynos up to 80 H.P. by stroker raptors running all motor and no special fuels. Anyone in the world who could get a 450 within 20 H.P. of a stroker raptor like that would earn himself a throne in Holy Wood. In other words it aint happening, because there is still no replacement for displacement no matter how you look at the picture. American hot rods prove that. No 450 in the world will dethrone the 4 out of 4 time Four Stroke War champion, The one the only Raptor.
450 technology = shorter stroke, with a 1.5 to 1 bore and stroke ratio, titanium valves, a shit load of compression, and a short skirt piston. WOW THATS ALOT OF TECHNOLOGY THERE, LETS NOT GO NASA ON US. Lets see here now that your piston is lighter and you have a short stroke your torque just whent down the drain, so hills are not your thing. Yeah your bore and stroke ratio is the same as a crotch rocket but you dont have the four pistons to get the rev that high, so your rev isnt all that impressive just as every single cylinder engine isnt. THE ONLY THING THE 450'S REALLY HAVE OVER THE OTHER BIKES IS STOCK THEY COME WITH MORE COMPRESSION AND THERE LIGHTER. Everyone that doesnt know what they are talking about just goes by what the sales rep told him," ITS GOT TECHNOLOGY THAT NO ONES EVER SEEN BEORE." You guys act like its new to the planet but really that technology has been out for a long time, so really dont act like its impressive. Now if you had a bike the had a carbon composite motor like they are trying to figure out down in Arizona, then the technology thing would really impress me, but come on dont let a short stroke, light piston, and a shit load of compression fool you. If you have any questions about what I wrote feel free ask me. The only company that really has a leading edge on high technology in piston motors isnt a company, its a racing assosiation called Formula 1. They have shit in there motors that I guarantee no one on this sorry forum even knows about or has even heard about. I can't believe that you think tha yfz is a two stroke. You need to stop posting in this forum if you dont know that. http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelspeccompare/323/1136/0/c... click that link. Also, I have ridden both and the 450 is much snappier through the powerband, but topend speed goes to the 660.
350 cc's is the total displacement. Check out the specs on a banshee, and you will see that it is a 350 cc machine, but the displacement comes from 2 cylinders, not one. You are a true dumb@$$. These other guys above me know your an idiot too, its a two stroke machine with 2, 175 cc cylinders.
Sounds like you are right on the mark.
hes asking what is better a quad or dirtbike
hey let me tell u what i have a brand new raptor 660 speacal edishen adn my frend has a 2004 yfz and i smoke it every time he only gets me on the track and he barly gets me there so the new raptors kick ass
