2004 SUZUKI MOTOCROSS CHARGE BEGINS - Suzuki Motorcycles Media Release
The 2004 Suzuki RM250 has arrived in Australia at a suggested retail price
of $9,690 (inc GST.)
The new model is priced at only $100 more than the World Championship-winning
2003 machine and features an updated brake, engine and suspension package.

A completely new rear shock linkage system gives more progressive rear
shock action while new Showa twin-chamber cartridge-type front forks and
new Showa piggyback-reservoir rear suspension provide excellent shock absorption
and feel.
Significant upgrades to the RM250's brake package include a new floating
disc brake system and a new front brake master cylinder for more controllable
stopping power.
The Suzuki motocrosser will also have an updated shift cam stopper for
a smoother gear-shifting feel, while an improved riding position provides
greater freedom of weight transfer.
Suzuki has also made improvements to the powerplant of its RM250 - the
model that has taken Mickael Pichon to consecutive World Championship titles.
It has a reduced squish height and redesigned cylinder head for improved
throttle response at low-to-mid rpm range, and wider, longer sub-exhaust
posts for excellent power feel at mid-to-high rpm range.
Redesigned control cams of the sub-exhaust port valves provide a seamless,
controllable powerband, and new barrel-type piston rings reduce friction
for improved throttle response.
A new clutch lever adjuster allows the clutch to be adjusted when riding
while the frame reinforcement of the RM250 has been thickened from 1.4mm
to 1.6mm for improved straight-line stability.
The RM250K4 is available in Champion Yellow No. 2 at Suzuki dealers Australia-wide.
It will be joined in Australia by the remainder of the RM family over the
coming months with the all-new 4-stroke RM-Z250 due to arrive in September.
