funny u should ask... i had an 1989 rm80 that tore my friends 300ex apart. no matter wat the 300ex doesnt stand a chance. and to make things lean even more towards the rm85, i was beaten horribly by a kid on a newer rm80 so an 85 would def just end the 300ex, also i could fly past my friend in the middle of 4th gear and he was topped out in 5th. so ya 300ex is not gonna catch u ever
a 300ex could be as hooked up as possible and it still wouldnt have a chance against an rm85. my friend had a pipe and a high flow air box and i beat him with a chamber and pipe and wiseco piston. he was even gonna get a new cam shaft but even with that $400 investment we would have maybe only been tied on the bottom end but i have twice as much top end.
