Husqvarna womens silver cup

The Inaugural Husqvarna Women’s Silver Cup wound up yesterday after two days of hard racing and major carnage. As part of its commitment to women’s motocross, Husqvarna Australia sponsored the female category at the Queensland Quad Championships held at the Stanmore facility over the weekend.

The event involved 5 races over the two day meeting with a field of 18 competitive girls vying for a share in the $1200 prize money on offer. The action came thick and fast as the girls ripped through the track. The intensity was clearly visible throughout the weekend, several girls pushing a little too hard leaving two girls hospitalised.

Husqvarna takes first blood at Aussie Supermoto

Husqvarna Racing has made its Australian Supermoto intentions clear, dominating all classes at the first two rounds of the Maxxis Australian Supermoto Championships held in Stanthorpe (Qld) over the weekend.

All the pre-race build up concerning the battle between Husqvarna’s Troy Herfoss and Yamaha’s Shannon Johnson was finally put to rest on Saturday.

Round one quickly became the ‘Troy Herfoss Show’ as he took out all four round one races (S2 class) in style, creating a 26 point gap between himself and second placed Johnson. Husqvarna’s Chad Turnbull also put on a strong performance, finishing equal third on points for the round.

Meningie Camp

A good turn up despite the weather forecast with Welly all the way from the Hill. A few early evening showers saw some set up just in time for the rain to stop.

1 arrival sat morn saw 9 riders head out in sunshine, with some dust as the area has not had a lot of rain. We took the reverse of the usual route this year for a change which gave us a different perspective. A fast pace as all were sand savvy saw lunch at Tinty early without incident.

A longish lunch & off again down a different track for a while parallel with the railway line – interesting when a train came along – some thought who’s passing in this difficult spot?! More quick paced riding saw us back near camp around 2.30pm, with the thirsty bikes short of fuel as usual.

AMA Red Bull Supermoto coming to Reno

PICKERINGTON, Ohio (Sept. 2, 2005) -- The AMA Red Bull Supermoto-A-Go-Go moves up state Nevada on Saturday, Oct. 1 to cap off the 2005 AMA Supermoto Championship season. After running in the shadow of Las Vegas’ high rise hotels the last two seasons, the AMA Red Bull Supermoto-A-Go-Go finale takes to the streets, on a specially-designed urban course in the heart of downtown Reno, Nev.

The glitz and glamour of the previous AMA Red Bull Supermoto-A-Go-Go races will carry over to Reno-Tahoe, America’s Adventure Place. Reno’s street course is an entertaining layout comprised of high-speed pavement and technical dirt and urban-cross sections constructed on the downtown streets of Reno around Circus Circus Reno, Silver Legacy Resort and Casino, Eldorado Hotel and Casino, and Harrah's Reno. Overlooking the dirt section will be the famous "Biggest Little City in the World" neon sign above Virginia Street.

Schoolhouse Rock

Time flies when it’s summer vacation. Just ask a kid. The same is true for The Syndicate as team riders scramble to prepare for a new school year and the ongoing campaign to promote reading in some of California’s most challenging inner-city schools.

[image:5207] [image:5208] [image:5209]

During the past school year, Syndicate riders took their motorcycles into classrooms and showed the students what motocross and other action sports are all about. Once their excitement peaked, the children were challenged to surpass their school district’s minimum reading requirements by the end of the year and given incentive to do so. Anyone who met the challenge earned tickets to a California Motorcycle Association race later in the year and a very cool prize package from the program’s sponsors.
