Husky Chix team rider Brooke Thiemann again impressed onlookers at Round 2 of the Thunder X Series held at Hervey Bay over the weekend, finishing equal 3rd on points for the round, keeping her in 3rd position in the Championship.
The Women’s Unlimited Championship was always going to be a tough battle, especially with the return of Tamara Gray fresh from racing in the US.
Thiemann’s consistency in the wet and rough conditions, saw her avoid any incidents as both championship contenders Jesse Slade and Rebecca Bateman came unstuck during the heats.
“I actually really enjoyed the conditions out there today. The track was well watered early in the morning, but as the rain came down later in the day the track became more challenging.
