Cambodia dirt bike tours I have heard are utterly amazing. I have looked into it, and there are so many advertised I didn't know which one to book up with.
Also I have travelled in Asia extensively and I know that south east Asian "safety" standards, especially roadworthiness of motorbikes, can differ hugely from our standards in the west.
Anyway, I have seen this cambodia dirt bike tour advertised at a local enduro event in Kent, and I had the fortune to meet the couple that are planning it.
They seem really nice, they are a british guy and a cambodian lady. Tim (the guy organising it) is a photographer at some dirt bike events, and he said as his wife is Cambodian it seemed like a wicked idea to set up an annual dirtbike event out there.
Its The Red Dirt Tour 2013.
Looks like it will be an enjoyable trail ride.
Just want to know if anyone has been on a similar trip, and what they thought of it?
I know asia gets so hot, is it awful to ride in the tropics? I love riding, BUT I overheat at dirt bike events here in the UK (and most of the year round it doesn't seem to get above 18 degrees!! Maybe I should just go for it, at least I'll be guaranteed a summer this year, even if its in december!
Love the timing of the tour too, as it means having something half decent to regale everyone with over the dreaded family christmas dinner! lol
Anyway, like to know some views on it.
