Clutch problem?

Hey guys I am having a problem with my '01 CR125 somewhere in the transmission. It's been a problem progressing over time and it's time to fix it.

Ok well it's like my clutch isn't engaging all the way. So say the bike is running and I am gonna take off just like normal; I pull in the clutch and shift to first. Well when I put it in first the bike will either hop forward and stall out or if i give it some gas it will start pulling forward. It's like the clutch isn't fully engaged so unless it's in neutral it will be sending power to the tranny instead of disengaging the flywheel clutch stuff (dunno what the correct terminology is). And like mentioned it's been getting progressively worse. Everytime I'd ride it would just be a little worse than the last time.

Also when I change the oil it wll be very thick and have metal shavings in it and on the magnetic drain bolt.

You think something is grinding in there which is cause the shavings?

Does it sound like a bad clutch?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

do u shift without the clutch

do u shift without the clutch???? because if so then the metal clutch disk teeth get bent and do not slide properly making yur clutch feel like it isnt in all the way. metal in the oul is a pretty good sign that u dont shift with the clutch. or it could be that yur clutch cable stretched over time so even if u did shift with the clutch it wasnt all the way in giving the same effect
