2 strokes are lighter an it takes almost 2 times the cc to compete against a 2 stroke with a 4 stroke which makes a 2 stroke better in a way but there to costly if you have the money go with a 2 stroke if not get a 4 stroke they last longer and you dont have to put out so much money and you get almost the same poformance almost if you go with 2 times the displacement 2 stroke 125 4 stroke 250 4 strokes are heavier
i have a cr 125 ive been racin for 3 years now and i took a crf230 for a ride and they suck they have no power you might as well throw it in the trash i swear 2 god any1 who by's 1 of them dont no there bikes ttr 225 is way beter and 2 strokes are the way 2 go but i have 2 say the new racing four strokes are pretty good but 2 strokes are allways goin 2 be around the olny way there not is if there illegal but the dealers arnt going 2 stop makeing them no madder what any 1 says

I am new to dirtbikes. I just got an XR400, used, and it's a lot of fun. I've read a lot of stuff on the web about a lot of different bikes. This is by far the stupidest bunch of crap that I have seen yet regarding the sport. What is everyone so pissed about? When I read this stuff I can draw a mental picture of the guy writing the post. He's always sporting a nice, greasy mullet, sitting in his double wide trailer smoking cigarettes. Is this accurate or are you just going to tell me how much America sucks and that I'm a faggot?
Ok, first of all the people here are in a big ass debate about the tops on a CRF 230 correct? And so, if i work at a honda factory that manufactures and checks these things then why the hell are people saying it will go 95?80?62?230? I want everyone to know, that it may feel like you are going damn fast but this bike has topped out at 74 MPH. Listen to me, we test these bikes, it takes 10 hours to break one in and once its broke in we maxed it and it only went 74, even with all you silencers. You can take the baffle out and the restricter for a cheap and easy way for more speed and power, but I highly recommend not to spend much money on these.
