I know as well as all of you that the two stroke vs four stroke deal is one of the biggest quarrels in a long time. I created this forum to let all you guys fight it out, oh, and just to get things started, i love the thumpers, i think in a few years, two strokes are going to start to fade away, but i don't think they ever will go away, so all you mixer freaks don't get your undies in a bundle. I just think that overall, the four strokes are the more logical. I mean really, think about it, they run just like a car or a truck. Well happy fighting!!!!!

i have been raised on 4 strokes and i will never go to a 2 stroke. 4 strokes are so much more reliable and they have just as much power if not more. the only thing a 2 stroke has on a 4 stroke is the snap and idk about the other thumpers out there but my crf 250r has a shit load of everything. i love to death. just look at racing these days the only ppl that use 2 strokes are younger kids and fmxers. but blake williams uses a 4 stroke and can do a cliffhanger backflip which is insane. we will just have to wait and see

huh, thats funny. i tore my rmz250 apart while we were ridding and did a quick top end in half an hour. including lapping the valves. you are getting screwed if someone is taking 4 hours to do a top end, because starting with a fully assembled bike to getting back on and ridding in 30 minutes was real easy. also you know that 2 stroke power hit you feel, we have that all the time. try hanging onto that. also idk where u get $600 because even when i bought a full set of kibblewhite valves and a je 13.5:1 piston i only spent $300. i guess its those 4 hours that u are talking about. also if 2 strokes are so good, then why are the sx pros riding 4 strokes? ya its a harsh reality finding out your bike sucks.

You guys, you are so biased it isn't even funny. Just cuz you own a 2 stroke or a four stroke, doesn't mean it's the best. Are any of you man enought to exept a little critisism? I mean good greif. I love four strokes to death because they are so smooth, i would love to see a two popper take on a fourstroke in a wheelie contest, the 4 would kill it. Four strokes aren't hard to clean or rebiuld either, as long as you know what you are doing, and aren't some spoiled little bitch that gets his bike from his parents, some of us actually buy our bikes, so back off.

You have to rebuild the motor in a 2 stroke way more than in a 4 stroke. and another thing is they arnt makin 2 strokes in a couple years. Can-am fought with the government so they arent goin to make them any more. So all u 2 stroke fans better start liking 4 strokes.

sx riders use them cuz all the power is right there at low rpm and the sx tracks are so tight. and ive seen many four strokes lose races because they cant start there bike after a wipe out. and guess what.... they all use there hot starts and they still never wanna start

ur right in a way about just b/c they stop making 2 strokes doesnt mean they will stop makin the parts. it will just get harder and more expensive for u to do so and u might have to resort to buying a scrap bike to bum parts off of and idk bout u but after a while it would get a pain in the ass to hunt around for parts. but w/ a 4 stroke u can just go to dennis kirk, rocky mountain mc, or motosport just to name a few and get the parts

ya there not going to stop makin 2 stroke parts for a long time, people are going to have them for years to come. however with the whole hot start lever thing, i have stalled my bike out on the track a few times and jumped back on and fired it up with one kick. idk it probaly depends on the bike and starting technique. if you flood it your fucked though and u may as well push your bike off the track and go sit down for the race
