Anyone have any info on how to fit a new piston ring on a piston?? never done it before and need a little advice on the best way to put the new 1 on, without the ring compresser ??
you just put the ring on the piston connect the piston to the rod and get the pot and compress the rings with your fingers then just slide the pot over the rings and bolt er down. make sure you check the gap before you put it together.
on the ring there is usually a t this t should face up .....when the ring i seated in the groove put a cable tie arount the ring to hold it in place then simply slide the cylinder over the piston slowly this will push the cable tie away keepin the ring in place take ya time patience dont cost anything...
