AJ Roberts and his Husqvarna WR250 sit on a commanding position to take out both the Sprint and Enduro Series with both titles combining to decide who will be crowned the NSW Off Road Champion at season’s end.
AJ didn’t take any wins in the two-day event although he still leads the NSW Off Road Championship after six rounds, letting his more experienced rivals know that they will have a Husqvarna WR250 right on them for the entire season.
The series is shaping as a three-way dice for honours with AJ’s major threats from long-term campaigners Brad Williscroft (KTM) and Damien Smith (Yamaha) with the trio battling it out for the major honours all weekend.

On the opening day it went down to the wire with AJ missing out on the win by a gutwrenching 0.7 second – an amazing time considering nearly 170kms was traversed.
Roberts was again in the thick of it during round two but a small get-off in the closing stages saw him cross the line seven seconds behind Williscroft, the victor on both days.
