Hi Folks,
WOW!!!! What a HU-U-U-UGE weekend at the Op GLTR All-Female Event! It was held at the awesome Woodward West Camp in Stallion Springs, CA ([just outside LA] and I've never seen so much talent, money and fun put together in the one spot in my whole life!
The Op Girls Learn To Ride [Op GLTR] is the original series of girls-only action sports clinics, and the weekend was designed to provide instruction for all skill levels from beginner to advanced in skateboarding, BMX riding, mountain biking, inline skating, gymnastics and tumbling. I was there with
WML Pro's Sarah Whitmore and Kaide Garrett plus WML CEO Miki Keller representing the MX fraternity. I had some incredible fun, and Sarah and I just went OFF! I got interviewed by British TV, a Scottish magazine and had the 54321 and FuelTV/GKA [girls kick ass] film crews following me around all weekend. Huge! A big update with pics coming very soon.
In the meantime you can check it all out at
http://www.opgirlslearntoride.com - update should be on their site very soon
In the meantime I'm spending time with WML head honcho Miki Keller up at her amazing property in Bend, Oregon. It's real Davey Crockett country up here folks. Instead of road signs telling you to beware of kangaroo's, it says "BEARS CROSSING". Accidentally hitting a skippy back home is sad but not too dangerous for the motorist. Here the Bear is likely to tear both the car AND the motorist to pieces if it gets pissed off. I went to sleep last
night [with one eye open] listening to the Coyotes howling up in the hills. And this isn't your classic Wiley Coyote/Roadrunner gig either - apparently the coyotes keep the cougars and panthers at bay... Eeeek!
Got my ticket home booked for mid Nov. Can't wait to tuck into a Four-n-Twenty meat pie and a Moove chocky milkshake. Hope to catch up with all my Aussie friends soon!
Seeya!
