AURORA, Ill. (February 8, 2006) – Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series returns to San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium this Saturday, February 11.
    * This is the 23rd time the gate will drop at San Diego.
    * First race held October 25, 1980, Mike Bell won on a Yamaha.
    * David Vuillemin is the only first time winner at San Diego (2000).
    * Suzuki has won at 16 different venues all across the country since ’74, but they have never won in San Diego.
    * With Carmichael’s win last week he now has 8 wins at Anaheim. That ties McGrath’s record.
    * Suzuki now has 44 total supercross wins.
    * Carmichael has 43 total SX wins. His 10th on a Suzuki.
    * Carmichael now has 35 consecutive podiums.
    * Total wins by brand in San Diego are HON-11; YAM-10; KAW-1.
    * Chad Reed got his 1st win of the season here last year.
    * Reed now has 48 career podiums in 53 starts. Last week was his 21st runner up finish since ’03.
    * In only his 3rd 250 career start back in ’99, Carmichael crashed here and the foot peg took a chunk out of his leg and finishing 19th.
