...I HAVE A 2001 YZ250F...BUT ITS TIME FOR ME TO GET A NEW BIKE..I CAN GET A 450 BUT I JUST TO STICK WITH A 250F...MAN I GOT TO ADMIT IM A YAMAHA PERSON ALL THE WAY BUT I WOULD BE WILLING TO GET ANOTHER BRAND IF IT WAS A BETTER BIKE...DIDNT THEY MAKE THE NEW YZ250F'S FRAME LIGHTER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT...TELL ME TIGMASTER IS THE YZ250F'S 2008 MODEL BETTER BIKE NOW.... OR WHATS GOOD ABOUT THE RMZ250....I NEED A LIL BIT OF HELP...
well ya, the 2008 yz250f is amazing. the compression ratio alone is 13.5:1 with lots of other revisions and random things like full wavey rotors stock. the engine appears to be solid with a new design of the cams also. as far as the 2007 rmz250, it was pretty much ranked highest in every review. 13.4:1 is wat its throwing out and suzuki finally made the switch to aluminum frame style. every single review just couldnt stop talkin about this bike, not sure wat they have in store for '08. crf250r is a good bike also, i almost bought one, but if u are lookin for the most performance check out a 2008 yz250f, 2007 rmz250, or wait until the 2008 rmz250 comes out and see what it has to offer because its going to be something great. or.... u could deal with that bike for a year or too more until fuel injection happens here in the states. ive seen pictures of all the japanese 250f's with it already and they claim '09-'10 is when they are comming out with it. probally gonna add lots of hp.
