AURORA, Ill. (November 10, 2003) - Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division announced today that Team Honda's Ricky Carmichael will compete in the THQ World Supercross GP, which starts in Seville, Spain (December 6) and Arnhem, Holland (December 13). Carmichael capped off a stellar summer, earning his 10th AMA national championship by winning his fourth 250cc outdoor motocross title.
Carmichael, the winner of three consecutive 250cc AMA Supercross Series championships, challenges Team Yamaha's Chad Reed, the reigning THQ World Supercross GP champion with his decision to race in the 2003-2004 THQ World Supercross GP.
Carmichael's last European race was the Motocross des Nations, where Team USA finished second and Carmichael beat Stefan Everts.
"After my experience at the (Motocross) des Nations this year I'm looking forward to racing in front of the European fans again," said Carmichael. "I look forward to racing Chad Reed for the world championship."
