AMA Pro Racing has confirmed the cancellation and postponement of the AMA Hillclimb event scheduled for Sept. 21 at Haydenville, Ohio. According to Rob King, AMA Pro Racing technical manager, severe rains have eroded the hillside to the point where underlying rock is exposed making it impossible to hold the race at this location.

Motocross/Supercross Rookie of the Year. The 18-year-old rider from Saint Augustine, Fla., burst onto the scene this summer with an outstanding showing in the 125 class of the AMA Chevy Trucks U.S.

Despite sealing victory on the Assoluta Italian Enduro Championships last round, Stefan Merriman went on take his eighth consecutive win of the season unchallenged. The second last round was held in the hills, 2 hours north of Rome, near the city of Terni by Lake Piedluco. Merriman won the overall classification on both days by more than 40 seconds from his closest rivals.
