AVALON HOSTS SPECTACULAR SUPERCROSS

AVALON HOSTS SPECTACULAR SUPERCROSS

A bumper crowd of at least 8,000 saw Australian Supercross riders Jay
Marmont and Troy Carroll dominate their respective classes in Round Two of
the 2003 Australian Supercross Championship at Avalon Speedway near
Geelong last night.

First-time Supercross Promoter, Full Throttle Sports, ensured the event
was a success, with plenty of entertainment for the crowd and an excellent

Australian Land Conservation

In response to the recently published proposed Land Conservation
(Vehicle Control) Regulations 2003 we have established an online petition
which will be sent to the Victorian Government. The document is
available for viewing at http://www.nre.vic.gov.au/ris/ and I strongly
encourage you to read it carefully. There is very little reference to
trail bikes in this document, and the authors make a point of saying

From nikki who posted at thumpertalk.com '03 YZ250F - first/second ride reports

I picked up an '03 YZ 250F a week and a half ago. Here are ride reports from my first and second rides:

FIRST RIDE - last Sunday:

I took my new F out to a buddy's practice track this morning. Track was sandy/loamy and pretty wide open. Not too much for jumps. Temperature was around 40 degrees.

Chad Reed dominates Supercross Masters at Sydney Superdome

Australia?s dirt bike star, Chad Reed, took Sydney Superdome by storm last night, totally dominating the final Round of the 2002 Spokes Promotions Supercross Masters.

Anybody will tell you that Chad is good. And he is. Very, very good.

During the 250cc racing, all eyes were on Reed, riding with number 103 for the Boost Mobile Yamaha of Troy Team. With silky skills and almost freakish talent, Reed made it look easy, leaving others in his wake time and time again.

KTM OCTOBER 2002 SAFETY RECALL

KTM Austria informed us that there is a change in the status of the triple clamp recall. It is an unfortunate situation but KTM takes their customers safety very seriously. The initial recall procedure was developed based on all the evidence available to the factory at the time of the announcement. Being a safety related defect and to avoid possible injury to the KTM owner the factory did not have the luxury to wait to gather further evidence before acting and inspecting.

SM Series

Hello to all,
I can only say how sorry I am to announce that the proposed Australian Supermotard Series 2003 will not be going ahead as planned this season.

Due to my personal circumstances I have been unable to continue promoting the series alone, whilst my other business interests continue. It was my intention to try to run the series through another promoter but this has come to zero
and although the entries are out for the first round on the Internet, many competitors have not received them and it would be unfair to continue.

Chad Reed leads Australia to a Cup of Motocross glory

Although the Australian motocross team won't be competing in this year's
Motocross of Nations, the World Cup of Motocross in California yesterday
proved beyond doubt that Australia's motocross riders are right up there
with the world's best.

The event, hastily organised in the wake of the cancellation of the
Motocross of Nations in San Jacinto, California, was held on Sunday at Glen
