Chad Reed wins his third in a row. Ivan Tedesco makes it another Yamaha sweep. But Branden Jesseman is the 2003 AMA 125 East Supercross Champion!
The two main players of the 2003 AMA Supercross Series didn't disappoint. RC & Skippy. Ricky & Chad. Carmichael v. Reed. Tonight, Chad Reed won his third race in a row, and his fifth race of the season. He trails Ricky Carmichael by 16 points with three races left in the series. Carmichael finished second, with Ernesto Fonseca taking third.
Notes: Good thing Pontiac is an enclosed stadium. Tonight's weather forecast - icy, with a low of 18 degrees. Ezra Lusk out with broken bone in his left wrist. Hopefully back in time for the Nationals. Danny Smith injured his knee last week and is out. Josh Woods broke a bone in his foot last week and is out. 250's best lap times approx. 58 seconds.
Ivan Tedesco grabbed his first ever 125 AMA supercross win tonight in the last race for the East series. Besides Ivan's first win, the night will be remembered for Suzuki's Branden Jesseman winning his first ever supercross title. His sixth place finish was enough to win the 2003 AMA 125 East Supercross Championship! Kelly Smith finished second in the main, with title contender Mike Brown finishing third after a fall. Title contender Brock Sellards was leading, but fell.
Chad is kicking butt !
As an Aussie - I think its good to see RC wih some competition - Chad is one guy to give it. I'd like to see more US riders as well.
