Defending Toyota AMA Arenacross Champion Danny Smith is Joined by Previous Season’s Champion, Chad Johnson, to Form the Team-to-Beat in Toyota AMA Arenacross Series
AURORA, Ill. (Oct. 25, 2007) – The 2007-’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series opens in 10 days in Des Moines, Iowa, Nov. 2-4 at Wells Fargo Arena, and will feature one of the most impressive teams to line up in recent years as TUF Racing’s Dave Antolak has added 2005-‘06 champion, Chad Johnson, to the team that already boasts reigning champion Danny Smith.
“It’s always great to have the last year’s champion returning to the team,” said Antolak. “But to have the last two champions? That’s incredible.”
Running factory supported Honda CRF250Rs this year with additional assistance from Cernic’s, the TUF Racing team might just have the best 1-2 punch in the storied 24-year history of the series. Keeping things in check at ground level for the team again this year will be TUF Racing team manager, Chris Hunter.
“The CRF250R is an incredible model to start with,” said Hunter. “We are already getting more horsepower on the dyno after two weeks of testing than our 2007 bikes had the entire season. The Honda has to be the best stock 250F in the class for ’08.”
