2 strokes have faster acceleration big woop.i got a 2 stroke and a four stroke ones not better than the other. besides incase you havnt noticed 4 strokes are taking over. like the yzfs

yeah for your bike my buddys got the same bike you can either get one of those power core pipes and a new airfilter smaller sprocket it back bigger in front and if you got the stock chain get an o-ring chain this is the same person who blew the kdx 200 up so the 4 stroke is a little harder to blow up 576-6682

Trust me I used to race a YZ125 and now I race a YZ250F and the two strokes are a dying breed my friend, ride any four stroke 250/450 thumper and u will know why

I have the L (big wheel), an '01 (no electric start then, but thats more than fine with me) it's a fun bike, great for wheelying and just to mess around with. I find that it jumps easily too. Mine has never has problems, getting into the tech stuff. Always starts. I'm 15, and looking into a kx100 now, but the ttr is and always will be one of my favorite bikes.
you can completely modify it, check out things people have done on the bbr site, and there are great exhausts for them, you dont just need a 2 stroke for it to sound good, please, 4 stroke even sounds better sometimes.
and why do i doubt this...a rider can be a pro, put them on any bike and they can push it as hard as the BIKE ALLOWS. the rider works with what the bike had got.
the ttr125 is a good bike for biggeners but... i got this bike for my first bike after about 4 mounths of riding i got a yz 80 because the ttr125 does go fast but does not have the power to pull a wheely in second gear :(. over all u better now what u are gettin our your parents all have to buy u somthing else just like me:)

hey i own a 4 stroke(drz-125) and its mad little bike to ride but when i got my ktm 85 i felt way more power but it cant hold its speed like the drz. but 2 strokes and 4 strokes are great it just depends what ur gona use it for. for example. in a short race the 2 stroke wil win but in a long race the 4 stroke will win because it can hold its speed.
so it just depends what your using the bike for

i personly think that all the ttr- 125 is good for is a trail bike, i had one and now i have a yz 125 (my yz is just like a ttr-125 on super sterioriods lol) thats how much more power the yz has if frank likes that ttr 125 put him on a yz and then ill talk. and for the 2 stroke vrs. 4 stroke my yz 125 could beat a ttr 230 easy its wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lighter and it made to RACE the ttr 230 is made for enderuoe so its heavy as fuck. so to match a 125 2 stroke u need a 250 4 stroke. i have to admitt the even know i ride a 125 stroke the 250 4 stroke has got more power over all. but dont worry the 250 4 stroke is not way fasster than the 125 2 stroke. because my step dad has a 250 4 stoke his about 37 and im 13 ive been ridin since bout 8 and his rode bout half his life. his 250 is brand new 2006 mine is a 2003 and i can keep up wit him i can tell its all the rider on this one. so on my conclusion the 250 has a little more power but its still up to the rider
