Honda XR 100 carb problem.

I have a 2000 xr 100 that runs great but won't idle. I have used the manual to set the idle to no avail. Any ideas what this may be.

I'm thinking one of my sons may have ran it with the choke on. Would this have caused the problem? Can I fix it?

Honda XR100 idle adjustment

I have a 2002 Honda XR100 with the same problem. I cleaned out the carburetor with kerosine, then soap and water and dried it with compressed air but this still did not solve the problem. I have a crf230, crf70, and also an XR50 that run perfectly. I have seen a lot of posts on other sites about idle speed issues on the XR100. I am going to speculate and say it is a design flaw in the carburetor itself. I am going to break down and take it to the shop next weekend and will let you know what the technicians tell me. After a weekend of frustration it will be worth $125.00 to put an end to the mystery.

Bill: I've sent you PM just to see how it works.

Thanks
