i just sold my xr200r today, sadly it was my first bike but it's time to move on. i'm looking for a bike that still rides trail, but has the frame of a racing bike. (narrower, unlike the fatness of my xr) i was originally looking into the crf250 but i've heard i should wait another year or 2 or riding. any opinions?...what would you compare the crf230 to?
Hey I think all Honda's rock, yamaha's blow, kawisaki's suck, and suziki swallows. Honda is the only bike spelt with a capital and Honda is the colors in the world red and white the Canadian colors.
I got mine in August of 03', and man I love it!! Also I highly recommend it. Its got great power, and top speed. The only down side is the bike a a little on the heavy side, but know prob. for me cuz i dont race or anything.
Im not really sure what is wrong with all your crf150's, maybe your just too heavy??? I clocked mine on the highway going downhill at 110km/h. Its stock, it accelerates, it jumps....and well other than that ur all fools 8)

My names Jarryd English and I am the current Tasmanian state thumper x grass track champ in my class. My class is the 115-200cc thumpers. Now, I have raced a ttr125l, drz125 and my bike (04 crf150f). The crf is an excellent bike to a certain extent. For a trail rider it is an excellent bike. An electric start would be nice though. For racers like me, You will find that depending on your skill level the crf is better than the ttr,klx and drz 125s but it still lacks bottom end punch. In overall power it is stupid to compare the crf to anything else. It is not comparable to any new moto x bike. In the right hands though the CRF can be quick.
i dont think any of you dickheads have rode one for more than an hour so after you get use to it and turn it loose youll see how good it is trail riding racing and what ever else you want to do with it.
Good thing it's the rider that matters, the CRf 150 is over weight and needs help like all minis do. Have yet to see a CRF keep up with a TTR. It must have been in your dreams.

How fast
a CR85 is about the same size as a CRF150 but it has better suspension and has powerband. It is the same size although it is way faster.

don't worry about top speed. Worry about how fast you can get it to the top speed. But if it counts for anything it's not Extremely fast.
