hey buds ive got 1! and a pro circuit kit helps! im running a pro circuit shorty 304 mufler and a procircuit platnime pipe! that will give u more grunt than u think and it will sound like a real 2-stroke not a agg bike!
ha u will never every get it like a yz250 no chance way diff type power in the 2 bikes. but i had a kdx200 and a exhaust system would be good and all but if u want it to be near the yz250 you are just going to have to pinl back the trottle none stop.
I bought a 01 KDX 200 in May for AUD$2900. It was in immaculate condition with 1800km on the clock. It had the stock pipe on it (for rego) and came with an FMF woods chamber and powercore 2 pipe. The guy said he'd jetted the bike to suit put hadn't. I have made the airbox opening larger and drilled holes around the voltage reg that sits on top. I am now running it with a 42pilot and 145 main and the needle is on the top position. Jetting is paramount on this bike as it is very sluggish if not sorted. I am runing caltex revtex (semi synthetic) at 33:1. The only limitation of the bike thus far has been how the forks hand down past the axle bolt, which tends to find tree roots. I love it, and have been converted back to 2-bangers. The KDX's ease of maintenance and reliabilty put some of these nex gen 4-strokes to shame.
