hey, i would appeciate any input on this guys. i recently purchased a 1978 dt250 it ran fine when i got it, but then slowly became harder to start (once running seemed fine). now i cant get it to start at all, i have a resonable spark and the carbie is getting fuel. no matter what i seem to do the bike wont even respond, doesnt even fire for a couple of seconds. it has a new battery. im out of ideas. any suggestions would be very much appeciated

check the magneto

pull the cassings off the magneto and kick it over slowly if the magneto doesnt spark then you will either need a new one or will have to get it rewound
