new owner of a 2002 xr 100

i just got this 2002 xr 100 and im not sure weither the choke should be down of up for the on or off it runs on both but i am new to this i dont usually ride 4 strokes but have learned that they run much better and alot longer then 2 strokes so could anyone help me out to as weither on is up or down thnaks

can u not tell. when its on the bike will run like absolute shit. but i guess if you cant tell down is usually off

On my crf100, u start it up untill it gets warm then put it all the way down

chokes

when the knob is all the way in that means it is off, you should have the choke engaged to start it, once you start it run it for a minute or two before you take of then disengage the chokeĀ
