this isnt exactly about seat bouncing but kinda. when ever i hit a jump sitting down the rear suspension always tries to kick me up and over the handlebars. is there something im doin wrong? any comments or suggestions would be great.
yur rebound dampening is too stiff or u have the spring tension set too tight. have u changed either of these? if not i would start with the rebound dampening settings and take it out 3 or 4 clicks. see how it is from there. or.... if u hit a jump semi-straight on yur rear tire sometimes is below the lip of the jump and when the rear tire hits it, it pops it up. idk which it is, prob the second. idk yull figure it out.
my kx used to do that and the rear shock needed to be rebuilt it needed a new seal head and bladder... if you dont know how to rebuild it just have someone you trust do it.. then set all your settings in the middle and see how it works and go from there...... make sure you set your sag rigth to.. thats really important...
the jump is almost like a kicker. i dug it from a bank so the face isnt that big its only about 2 or 2 1/2 ft high. maybe thats the problem that the face isnt big enough.
try sitting at the front middle part of the seat before u tear anything apart, suspesion is one of the most important things about riding MX u might just have to have someone set it up for your weight and riding style....
