the problem i have is that it idles fine, but when i go to ride the bike i twist the throttle it does not rev the engine, all the times, it does rev it in idle, but at times i can twist it all the way and nothing happens, can you guys give me some help???? thanks.
hmmm
the throttle cable maybe but it shouldnt work at all if its that. does the bike die when you open the throttle. if it dies it could be the clip fell off the top of the needle and the needle isnt coming up with the slide.
when i look into the carb whi
when i look into the carb while its on, and twist the throttle i see the black valve go up but not the pin thats in the middle, i can also see the fuel going in too, it does rev up but its delayed, and then if i rev it right away again it wont rev it up it will bog all the way down and some times die. what does the clip look like? maybe on the shop floor? (hope not)
also
how do i adjust the mixture? i am new to carbs on bikes.
and is the needle supposed to come all the way out? or just alittle bit, i know that it looks like its not moving at all. thanks
umm
its just an e clip. if the needle isnt going up with the slide when you look in thats the problem. the e clip should just be sitting on top of the slide so just take it out and put it bak together right. make sure you put the clip on the right needle notch.
well, that sounds like the ac
well, that sounds like the accelerator pump. the accelerator pump keeps a good suppy of fuel for the carb. the accelerator pump part that normally breaks is the diaphragm. the diaphragm is located under about a 1 by 1 inch cover on the carb. check to see if the rubber/material is torn. aother than the accelerator pump u might want to check your fuel level.
do TTr's have ACpumps?
