Well the latest dirtbike.ws poll has been completed with a whopping 230 votes.
Motocross came out as the most popular pastime, with Trail Riding right behind, and Just Fun third.
Supercross, perhaps the most televised dirt bike sport had the least number of people actually doing it! Perhaps Supercross is so popular with the fans and the TV stations due to the danger & close racing, but less popular with the riders for exactly the same reason?
Freestyle is a lot more popular than supercross, and its the current bad boy favorite of the dirt bike world.

freestyle motocross sucs!! if u were to put all those freestyle punks on a supercross track and they wouldnt have a clue what to do.

freestyle mx has got all the riders that can't be fast, that have more balls than brains. the only exceptions to the rule are Pastrana and Degan and Mike Jones in his prime. i think fmx will be played out very soon, its the real competition that lasts. real competition will last forever, it is not a f'in fad.

freestyle
im only 16 years old, been racing for 7 years now, in "A" grade and preffer freestyle. moto x requires half the ballz of freestyle. when i pull a no hander lander or a superman on my kicker, my mates go nuts.

I agree, I love jumping way more then just riding along. though i don't think freestyle has more talent then racing. both racing and freestyle have there own selection of talents.
