Husqvarna Racing's young gun, Jake Magee, took out all three races in the Lites Class at round one of the Supermoto State of Origin series held at Oran Park yesterday. The Oran Park circuit is a favorite of Magee who also recently took out the Lites class at round one of the Supermotard Extreme Queensland Championship.
"I enjoy racing at Oran Park and I've done some testing here in the past so I know it quite well. The tighter chicane through the dirt section this weekend was a nice tricky change." Magee commented regarding the Oran Park circuit. "I'm really pleased with the results this weekend. The bike (Husqvarna Racing SM250R) was beautifully setup which made the ride a little easier."
Magee also competed in the All Powers race, one of few 250cc bikes to qualify. Magee rode well above his class against the bigger bikes, finishing in 10th overall.
It was mixed fortunes for the Husqvarna Team however, with S1 National Champion Josh McFarlane crashing out and dislocating his shoulder after his bike's timing transponder dislodged and wedged in the steering.
The next round of the Supermoto State of Origin Series will be held at Oran
