Merriman 2nd overall in 2002 Individual Two Day Enduro World Championship
The seventh and final Round of the 2002 Individual Enduro World Championship
was held in Sweden on the weekend.
Aussie Stefan Merriman, who had dominated the 400cc 4 Stroke class of the
championship from the very beginning, was disappointingly unable to start on
the Sunday, due to a knee injury sustained the week before in Finland.
His great performances during earlier Rounds of the Championship, which took
place all over Europe, ensured that the Husqvarna-riding Merriman finished
in second place overall, behind Finn Juha Salminen (KTM).
