Mike LaRocco Sets New Standard

200th Main Event is Milestone in History of Supercross

Daytona, FL ~ Mike LaRocco earned the name "The Rock" long ago from peers and fans for his physical and mental toughness, but his granite-like status in the sport of supercross reached legendary proportion when he lined up for his 200th race. This feat, in a sport where injury ends careers and fame is fleeting, is truly remarkable. LaRocco made the 250cc class final and finished third.

"The dedication and determination needed to be at the pinnacle of one's sport for 16 seasons rivals the achievements of Farve and Ripken," said AMSOIL Racing Manager John Schuldt. LaRocco has been racing with AMSOIL synthetic lubricants as a sponsor since 1999. "AMSOIL couldn't be more appreciative of Mike and proud of his achievements."
