Dorron wins round 6 of the Australian Supercross Championships!

Jye Harvey (right to left) celebrate Troy's win Full Throttle Sports Honda rider Troy Dorron put on a dominating ride to take his first overall Pro-Open Supercross win at the Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne last
Saturday night.

In front of a home crowd, Troy put the disappointment of the last round behind him to come up triumphant! During practice, Troy was extremely fast and smooth, and was obviously ready to perform for his home crowd. With one 1st and two 2nd's in his heats, plus a dominant win in his semi-final, Troy had first pick of the gate for the 20 lap final.

Final moto and the crowd was on their feet as the 8 best Supercross riders in Australia all hurtled towards the first corner, and it was Dorron on his Full Throttle Sports Honda CR250R with the holeshot.

Belgium wins the Motocross des Nations

World Bragging Rights: Belgium wins the 2003 Motocross des Nations

The 57th running of this classic event - a once per year gathering of all the top riders and teams as they compete country against country, with each nation fielding a team of three riders.

One super Finale decides it, with each country scoring it's two best finishes. Lowest score wins! The track itself is typical of that part of Belgium - mostly flat, and very, very sandy.

The two main combatants: Belgium with it's three world champions (Stefan Everts, Joel Smets, and Steve Ramon) and the USA (Ricky Carmichael, Tim Ferry, and Ryan Hughes).

Rallye of Egypt Stage 7

Baharija - Cairo / SS 345 km / Liaison 95 km / Total 440 km

Victory in the last minute...

for Nani Roma, who amazed everybody today when he took more than 5 minutes on Richard Sainct riding like a god. Yesterday, Sainct had been in the lead of 3,5 minutes, and everybody thaught that the race is decided. But the stage was fast again apart from a technical section on the first kilometers, and Roma knew he had no choice but attack to the max. He did an excellent navigation and must have found the most direct route today. He has been fighting all week and had been pushed back by unlucky tire problems, but he never gave up. He has been rewarded with this superbe victory. Richard Sainct is a fair loser, though naturally he would have liked to see himself on the top of the results list.
