Dual Sport CRF 450

Look at what I found when web surfing!

Seems that the great people at Baja Designs have been quite busy modifiying the CRF for "Dirt Bike" magazine.

Baja Designs CRF

They've done some fairly major changes there. Hmmm. I wonder just how much that would add to the price of a new CRF.. ;-)

Chad Reed 2002 125 East Series Champion!

Aussie Chad Reed continued his winning ways, passing Kelly Smith early in the St Louis round to dominate the rest of the event.

This is his Sixth 125 East win in a row, and has earned him the 125 East Championship.

Reedy has signed a new deal with Yamaha USA to ride in the 250 class in 2003 and 2004, and will probably race in that class for some of the remaining events. Visit http://www.supercross.com/news.php?id=77 for more information

It will be very interesting to see how he goes against Ricky Carmichael, David Vullemin and the rest of a field which has been improving throughout the year!

Next year looks like being a big one!

RC's Sixth win in a Row

Ricky Carmichael has grabbed his sixth win in a row, to extend his points lead over David Vullemin by 20 points.

Carmichael dominated the St Louis round, with Vullemin fighting back from a poor start to take second.

Ernesto Fonseca finished third, putting in another good ride in his return to form this year.

Jeremey finished just off the podium in fourth.

18,000 Acres Closed in the US!

The Land use issue is hotting up all around the world, with a recent discussion on the Thumpertalk.com bulletin board here containing this link from the LA Times..

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-000023845apr03.story

And a few extra useful links also being posted:

http://www.corva.org

And we have a few here in Australia also:

This is a major issue to our sport.

Please be careful and considerate of others, and of the land itself when you ride

Motocross Radio

The Motocross Radio website and radio station has been going strongly for a week or so now, and i've spent a little time chatting to the guys, who seem like a great bunch.

They're putting more and more content into the Radio broadcast, and the music they play is great!

Checkout their website at www.motocrossradio.com or their broadcast here

Pigs on the fly

Well, it was high time to take out the Piglet (Me - XR 250), and the Big Red Pig/BRP (Tim - XR 650) this weekend.

With a scheduled temperature of 29 C though, it was going to be hot. Not that we'd let a small thing like heat get in the way of a good ride!

By the time we'd got our crud all organised, camelbak drinks in backpacks, tools which i had to go back for (if I didn't bring em, it'd be the time i'd need them), and even a first aid kit, it was pushing 10am, and already getting warm.

And they lived to tell about it!

By Steve Green,

180 miles, lots of single track and only got home a few hours ago.

3 KTMs, 1 DRZ, 2 KLRs, and an interloping VTR all met for McBfast at an expeditous hour. Faces, names, and bikes from anonymous web posts and internet rants could be seen at last. Now the electronic and mental to go physical. The ride was on and 6 restless riders and bikes were rarin to go. This was not a "Yahoo list post" but the real McCoy.
