Suzuki Australia has again extended its benchmark Team Suzuki Support Rider contingency program.
Entering its fifth year, the popular program will once again support Suzuki privateer riders in both the road and off-road racing categories
For the first time, however, Suzuki's 2004 program will now include the inaugural Supercross Nationals competition.
"The expansion of the program to incorporate the new Supercross Nationals series, makes it the most comprehensive program of its type in Australia," Perry Morison, General Manager - Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia, said.
All up, Suzuki will contribute nearly $100,000 in incentives to loyal Suzuki privateers in road racing and off-road racing competitions throughout 2004.
The program will continue to provide generous rewards to Suzuki riders contesting the major motorcycle racing competitions in the country at the state and national levels, including supercross and motocross championships, as well as superbike, supersport and superstock categories.
In both road and off-road racing, the scheme rewards the top three placed Suzuki privateers with cash incentives of $500, $350 and $250 respectively, regardless of their overall placing in the race.
"As a nation, we have a history of intense road racing competition, producing many world class riders; we see this program as a great investment in the future of the sport in Australia," Morison said.
"With off-road racing currently facing a period of major growth in Australia, this is another wonderful opportunity for Suzuki to encourage and assist up-and-coming new talent."
"This has been a very successful program over the last few years, and I'm pleased to see it back to support more talented young riders in 2004," Phil Tainton, Team Suzuki Team Manager, said.
"When you look at the expense involved in contesting the national championships, especially with the addition of the Supercross Nationals, this program is a great way to assist Suzuki privateers with their costs," Jay Foreman, Team Shift Motul Suzuki Team Manager, said.
"And with the launch of the all-new RM-Z250, Suzuki has an even more exciting range of products to offer competitors."
Riders can also take full advantage of the generous Suzuki program by registering multiple machines in different capacity classes.
Registration in the Team Suzuki Support Rider program is free, and interested riders can obtain an information pack from their local Suzuki dealership.
