i own a 2001 TTR-125. i decided that i want to put some mods on it i plan on puttin a UNI air filter on it i want to put an exhaust on it but i cant decide wat kind of exhaust i want.
i usually ride my ttr without the baffle in and its pretty loud and thats what im lookin for in an exhaust is a really good loud sound i also woundlnt mine gainin a few extra horses.
so what kind of exhaust should i get? should i get just a silencer or a whole pipe? or should i just leave the stock pipe on?

2004 WR250F... Should I buy it?

Forum Topics
Yamaha

I recently rode a 2003 WR250F at a local MX park in some trails that had all the restrictors still intact and it was the slowest dog I ever threw a leg over, (And I'm not a fast rider by any means). I currently use a Kawasaki KDX200 for all of my trail riding and have been really happy with it's capability and forgiving nature. But I recently purchased a 2003 YZ125 and found the bike to be the best built, most fun and forgiving bike I've ever ridden. So naturally I thought of swapping the KDX out for the new 2004 WR250F. And since I'm a small guy, the 250 size seems perfect. But I am concerned about that first test-ride I took on that stock piece of driftwood with the WR stickers on it.

The YAMAHA 250F FAQ

Forum Topics
Yamaha

hi folks,

"wrooster" of [url:99] fame here.

i noticed that some of the HOW-TO links in the "Dirtbike Book" are broken, a residual of our last database upgrade about 6-8 months ago. but never fear...

a few of us TT'ers have put together a FAQ covering the Yamaha 250F bikes (i.e. YZ250F and WR250F). there are tons of tips, fixes, hints, how-to's, and so on, all organized for quick reference. much of the information is applicable to the 400F, 426F, and 450F bikes as well.

anyway, click on over to the Yamaha 250F FAQ, at [url:1695]

a lot of the info is "accumulated" TT wisdom, some is stuff that we got directly from the factory yamaha race mechanics, and other data is right out of the manuals. speaking of manuals, there are links in the FAQ to the PDF versions of the OEM Yamaha manuals -- not page scans, but instead PDF output from the source material.

I keep thinking that I will flip it backwards every time I want to try. Does anyone have any tips on how to wheelie, without flipping ? thx.
