the best 2 stroke would probibly be a 250 2 stroke but i have a yz 125 2 stroke, and trust me i dont know why u would want any more power than a 125 2 stoke or a 4 stroke 250, but im 13 years old. o and hey u wanted to know who made the best 2 stoke 125 yamaha did for 2006 they got first place so they made the best 125 second place was ktm and 3rd place was suzieke and 4th place was honda. kawasakia was not in the 125 shootout because they stopped selling there 125s 2 strokes to amereica if u want one u could go up to canada though and get one bet they would probibly get last place so i dont know why u would want one yamaha has been makng the best 125 2 stroke from 2002-2006 i think thell make the best 125 for 2007, now for the 250s i dont know who makes the best but i think the best frame would go to yamaha because they took time on there frame suziek and kawasaike just put this crappy fram on with some parts that are aluminmin and they called it a good frame yamaha took there time so there aluminum frame came out on 2006, i thought it was cool that they put a aluminum frame on the yz 125 for 2006 model. yamaha is tryin to keep the 2 stroke alive with all the money i hear there putting into the 2 stroke.
yeah i agree but you got to think about it. if you watch the enduro at erzberg you will see i think it was the first 5 ppl over the line were drivin 2 strokes. travis pastranas 250 rm blow up what does that show you. You see in enduros in europe 2 strokes are far from dead everybody over here is sayin the 2stroke is makin a come back so i dunno what to think. me i think yamaha make the best 2stroke.
have you considered 200's? the kdx 200 has been a good solid trail bike, the gasgas 200 and ktm 200 are both very good bikes, and offer a power range between 250 an 125s. i personally own a gasgas Ec 250 and i love it. plus with gasgas alot of parts from other bikes work on them.i would personally stay away from japanese bikes if you are planning to get into anything not motocross, asn all japenese bikes seem to be geared very high and aren't as suitable for tight technical woods riding.
