I clocked my crf230 at 77mph on a drag strip. 2 strokes suck balls and 4 strokes kick ass.

i own a 230 i got a big gun rev box uni air filter and graphix kit was doin 60 in fifth gear on mine i also beet scrambler 400 if any one knows bout them there two stroke there 400cc and they have a snowmobile clutch and there automatic so it should of beet my 230 but i smoked it completely by the way yea i have to agree 230's are slow i only bout one cause i aint rich like those kids that race adn there daddy's buy there's for them ill trade my bike in for a 250 sum day and by the way 2 STROKES SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you guys saying a crf does 84, 85, 90+MPH are dreaming. No way is a crf230 is going to do CLOSE to 85 mph. I know of only one 230 that can come close to that and thats with extensive motor work, high comp head, cam, valves, larger carb, bored and stroked, ported etc for super moto.

I have a trail tech speedo on mine, the FASTEST its ever reached was 67.8 mph pinned for a little while, and that was pushing it. There is no way you are going to get above 70mph without getting into gearing and motor changes. Mine has aftermarket exhaust, and rejetted.

And you ignorant people who keep on saying that 2 strokes suck probably have never owned one. I admit i own a 230, but god damn the 230 is a slow bike face the faces. Maybe you should grow some hair and learn to ride a 2 stroke.

i donno how fast both of them are,i got 45 on a realy short stretch and i was in bout 4th,the crf 150 has 11 hp the crf 230 has bout 18.5 i belive,i think they crf 230 could prob. do 65 70, the crf 150 can prob. do 55 to 60,there is only a hand full of people in here that can actually give you a straight up answer with out cursing or dawgin on somone,so grow up you babys

I agree with this guy ^ hes totally right but the other dude is right too, no dirtbike can go over 85, i know so because i have a dyno roller and if you put enough weight on the bike to get the roller running, the bike only goes 68-9, thats as fast as it will go

top speed can be effected by gear ratio an sprocket size
