Jumping
Hi Daniel,
Firstly, can I ask if its a public area, that you can tell other people about? If so, there are always more riders looking for new places to ride, and they would sure be thankful if you let them know.
Secondly, my advice with jumping is to start small, and work your way up. It will also help if you have some previous experience with BMX style jumps.
But basically, try and go over the jump smoothly, dont give it heaps of throttle as you are about to leave the jump (the front will come up), and dont back off as you are about to leave the jump (the front will go down).
The easiest jumps to start on are ones that continue at the height of the top of the jump afterwards. That way, you can get a little air, and not be worrying about coming down/landing ramps etc.
Hope that helps
hey dan here
the place that i ride is a quarry just south of the city
they dont mind if u ride at the back of the quarry just as long as u stay away from the machineary
i live about 1km from it
its in a suburb called banjup
their is also 3 freestyle ramps in a near by suburb called hope valley
every saturday riders from all over the place meet their
get a new bike
get a new bike and you might be albe to jump better

When u want the bike to go foward in the air jam ur front brakes on. It will the stop the friction with the air and it will make u lean forward. to lean backward jam on ur brake brakes and it will stop the friction with air.
Hope this helps

keep on the gas
keep on the gas
Bad advice.
To lean the bike backwards slam on the rear brake??????
Like Duh, this will make the front drop. If you find your front wheel is too low and want to raise it, pin the throttle.

Dirt bike tips
Well for me, my friends taught me how to pre-load. When you hit a jump what you do is you pull back, after that as soon as you you take off you lean forward so your bike does kind of an acr in mid air but dont lean too far forward or your done for. Sor your basicly just switching stances for more air. Just rock back then lean forward.

your a freakin faggit dude, seriously, and you need to shut up before i find out where you live and kick ur ass. You actually think you know how to ride. I also wouldn't be calling people dorks cause u sound like your right up there with them. Go back to the 2 and a half inch jumps you queer! (what a dumb ass!)
what i do is right before the
what i do is right before the jump i make sure there is still throttle and at the lip you gas it just a little
jumping
be careful if you gas it to much before the jump it will send you straight up which will make you fall when you end up landing.
jumping for enyone
a better idea is just lean youer wate the way you whant youer bike to go if you hit the breaks you might not let go and wipe out on youer landing or mess up youer bike so it better of you leen the way you whant you bike to go and if you whant you might whant to try pre loding to.
Jump Technique
I have developed a special technique for getting big air that i have decided to share with y'all. Basically, find a f*ck off big ramp, get yer bike warmed up, have a 1/4 mile run-up, launch yourself at the ramp as fast as you can, hold on to the bars and pray. I haven't developed a good landing technique....yet, rest assured when I do I'll share it with y'all. I'll be practicing again just as soon as my bones have healed and headstock is welded back onto my buikes frame.
Ride safe... Banzai.
anonymous?
you're all anonymous fools...
oh hang on...
I'M ANONYMOUS TOO!!!
might just have to hit the brakes and stop the friction with the air :D
dude ur the idiot

what i do is i ride over the
what i do is i ride over the jump once and then hit it harder then i think i need to then do it again and again but u got to make sure that u dont chicken out when your goign to the approtch

i dont think i jump right i just got a cr 80 2000 and would like to know how to jump a 2 stroke (in band out of band) but when i was on my ttr 125L heres how i jumped,
when i am aproaching the ramp i am sitting down and as i am coming in for the landing i stand up in the air it works really well for me but is this wrong most of my friends are standing up when they are jumping from b4 the take off to when they are landing

Jumping help
I also ride a DT 175.
I pull to a jump, and a little before it I just full throttle and I push down on the suspension, then pull up on the handlebars at the top of the jump, I guess that's just pre-loading, it works great, I'm not haulin' balls when I jump, I do prolly 4 or 5 foots dirt jumps at my local ORV park at like 20-30 and get some pretty good distance.
I know, this posting is like 6 years old lol but whatever.
