What is a slipper cluch

i think a slipper clutch is just an aftermarket clutch with a name

r u guys retarded. k so a slipper clutch is a device that is located somewhere between the crankshaft and the transmission. by tightening or loosening some plates u can make it slip but only in extreme conditions. like if u rev it up high and dump the clutch the slipper clutch will slip for a sec an take the load off of everything. also say u go off a jump an u rev up yur rear tire hella when u land all that motion has to go somewhere, usualy puts a huge slam on yur engine when it cant keep up with the tire now instead the slipper will break free take the load off. my opinion is u prob shouldnt have one on a dirt bike
