does anybody have any idea what the sound is that is coming from my left side of the motor?? it sounds like there is sompthing loose inside and its vibrating..and its brand new so i dont know what is wrong.. also if anyone knows how to adjust the carb to keep it from "hickuping" pls tell me

take off the flywheel cover and check that thers nuthing inside the there. my frends xr 100 was makin noise like that and it was a peice of the flywheel cover cracked out and fell in there. and what do you mean by hickuping??

ok ill take the cover off just to check..i also forgot to say it only does the "chattering" noise wen it is reved up and i let off the gas then it sounds like that...at low idle it will sound like its hickuping about once every 10 to 15 seconds.. i think its just the carb is not adjusted properly.

my frends bike does that but its a 1979 xl 75 and the rings are screwed no clue what it is but try turning the air screw
