2s and 4s!!!!!!!!

i know that the whole two stroke versus four stroke thing is a very touchy subject, but i just want to state that im confused to why every body is so dead seat on comparing the 450 4 to the 250 2, i mean the are not really an equal comparisn. of course the 450 will be a little faster its nearly twice the dissplacment. if you were to race a 2 stroke 250 and a 4 stroke 250 in the 1/4 mile the 2 stroke would be finished before the 4 stroke even left the line!!!!
my point is, people should not get all riled up over an unfair comparisn. if comparing a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke of an equal displacement the 2 stroke will be better in every way.

reason for the double displacement: 4 strokes fire half as often as 2 strokes, therefore to compensate for this they double the displacement. IT IS THEREFORE AN EQUAL COMPARISSON. maybe that makes sense to you but i assume not if u went ahead and posted a retarded comment before learning how a 4 stroke works. ill lay it down for u lil fella. so 2 stroke rolls like this, we will start a TDC. a compression cycle and ignition have just taken place as the piston is propelled downward exhaust gas exits the ports and because of the pressure the piston exerts on the crankcase once the intake ports are uncovered fuel sprays in and the piston begins its compression stroke fuel is ignited and it starts all over. see how every time the piston reaches the top there is a power stroke. now on a 4 stroke starting at TDC after a compression stroke and ignition. the piston is propelled downward, once it reaches the bottom the exhaust valves open and the piston moves back to the top, but no ignition here o wats this are we learnin? once at the top the exhaust valves close and intake valves open as the piston moves downward again pulling in fresh fuel/air. at BDC the intake valves close and the piston throws itself right back up the cylinder for a compression stroke and ignition.

ya see how a 2 stroke has theoritacally twice the power of a 4? thats why they are in classes that match them. everyone compares the power of 2's vs 4's IN THESE CLASSES. then once in a while u get a fucking idiot like yourself and they want to compare to things that are not comparable. say somethin bout that!!

hey tig your statement is true and i wanted to ask you a question ive never really worked on my bike its never had any problems but i do have exeriance restoring old vehicles and classic motorcycles currently 2 1965 bsa lightning rockets but anyway i know on 600cc motorcycles which is the lowest engine ive rebuilt and on cars two strokes skip a piston stroke the power stroke is that true in dirt bikes.

there is no 2 stroke car out

there is no 2 stroke car out there except for maybe the custom bmw built by bruce crower. 4 strokes however skip a "power stroke" because it has to be used to vent exhaust. so if u have a 4 stroke dirt bike on out of every 2 times the piston goes up is wasted to vent gas, however on a 2 stroke every time the piston goes up an explosion happens. dont kno if that was what u are askin

hey is one of the most respec

hey is one of the most respected engine builders. i am pretty sure he is the owner of crower power cams. he also designed and built the amazing 6 stroke engine. his normal work has been cam grinding for the past 40 years.

no shit they fire twice as often, but the engine does not have to be twice as large, for example a 50cc 2 stroke is no smaller than a 4 stroke 50cc its all in the size of the block and the bore of the cylinder not adding to the size of the engine because of the additional two strokes. who the fuck do you think you are calling me a retard!!!! you dont know who you are talking to so wach your mouth dike.

are u serious, do u not grasp the fact that if an explosion in yur engine happens twice as often then double the displacement-ish is required to compensate if comparing a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke. i dont think u understand this and therrefore are an idiot, not only for trying to compare things that dont compare, but not knowing wat u are talking about when u go into the conversation. they are simply not compared because u cant. and as far as i dont know wat im talking about, well i do and im trying to teach u a few things. im not realy mad, i just hate idiots try to bestow their un-truths onto others adding to the idiots in the world. im sorry i embarrassed you, but learn the facts before u try to argue with the pros. and wat the fuck is the 50cc 2 stroke vs. a 50 4 stroke, u do realize that the 50cc 2 stroke produces lots more horsepower. i dont even kno if u had a real sentence there, u just said some words that neither proved or disproved your point. throwing out random technical words is not going to impress anyone, just learn a bit more before u try and prove things that arent real.
