I have absolutley no clue where to even begin with fixing my bike. I was recently having problems with my bike bein a pain to start, and when it did, it was raspy sounding, then would bog out real bad and die. No matter how much I twist the throttle, it would rev a little, bog alot and die. Last weekend, I changed my spark plug and it worked fine for long enough to do drag races. I went to the drags today and it did the same thing it did last time, but the spark plug wasn't even fowled. I would deeply appreciate any suggestions on what I should check. This bike is all stock, ordered from the factory brand new only 2 months ago. The only thing I have done besides changing the spark plug is turn up to idle a little.

It is a 2 stroke. I just drained the gas and put in new just in case my husband mixed it wrong. It took awhile of jump starting to get it, but it fired up. I didn't get to really ride, but I will this weekend. Last time it acted like this, I replaced the spark plug and it worked well, but only for a week. So, we will see.

2007 KX100. It's to darn new for something to terrible serious to be wrong with it. In my manual, it only gives 2 options for spark plugs. The one I have, and a hotter one. Is it okay to use a colder one even though my book doesn't list it?
How many hours you put on it
How many hours you put on it so far?? A kx100 is not really the ideal drag bike.

shit its a kx 100. stick an ngk br9es spark plug in it and it will be perfect. a 9 is colder than the one that is in it and that is what i use in my bikes works awesome.. or even a br8es would be ok. but i would use a 9. also make sure your gap is spot on
I didn't exactly plan on drag
I didn't exactly plan on dragging, but I am the only one in my family that got a bike instead of a four wheeler. Its bracket racing, so it isn't so bad. It does awesome in the dirt/sand mix. I am going to try a 9 plug this weekend and see how it does.
