Any help on choosing between these two?? I have been told by someone on a XR650 that I would get bored with a 250 cos of the lack of power...I have just sold my KLR650 but want something alot lighter and more off road orientated...even a DRZ400E???
Any hints and tips would be great!!

The KLX 250 and DRZ 250 are both "old style" 250 bikes. The Yamaha WR 250F (or even the more road going WR250R), Honda CRF250, Husky TE250, KTM 250EXC will all outperform and our handle the KLX & DRZ (even the 400) considerably, and will be quite a bit lighter as well.
Having had direct experience with a WR 250F myself, I can say it was a barrel of fun, but definitely best suited to the tighter trails, rather than the wide open spaces.
As always, the best way is to take a test ride on a couple of bikes first.
