I just bought an 04 YZ 125 and I think it is running rich. I am new to small motors and was wondering which way to go with the jetting. Any general advice would be helpful as well. Thanks.
how u doing ? well ok iu got alot of tip u got a 2 stroke every ride i would clean the bike off and check al the bolts and tighten them cuz its a 2 stroke u know rattles bolts and check case oil and ect keep er clean and turn it counter clockwise.
I check the oil every ride, and I have changed it twice already. I will start checking the bolts as well. Thank you. If you've got anything else give me a shout.
typically, a lean bike will seem to rev really high without giving that much power, you might also getr some backfiring and the bike will sputter when u give it alot of gas.
a rich bike, however, will seem to bog when you give it gas and it will make popping noises when you de-celerate.
if your bike is lean, you need bigger jets, and rich, smaller ones
as to exactly what jets you need, it all depends on altitude and climate and stuff like that. the best thing to do would be to take it to your dealer
Figured out the jetting
I would still like some tips if you got em. Thanks.
