Well. i've just been watching the TV here, and there was an advertisment for the motor show on.

They had pictures of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc on. And i thought. Damn. Dirtbikers dont really spend much money. I mean, sure a new dirtbike costs a bit, but compared to a "supercar", a new dirtbike is peanuts!

What do you think?

See, dirtbikes arent that expencive. Everyone who has one im sure loves to ride it, Much more than drive a fricking car... Right? I mean heck, im 15 and i have 2 dirtbikes, 1 banshee (quad) and like 6 snowmobiles in my family.... they are cheap lol. none of which are older than 2001. HARDCORE RIDING!!!!

I am 15 years old and I have just brought a Honda sl230 and my friends always tell me how crap it is because its not as fast as their noisy 2 stroke racing bikes, but I think thats all bullcrap because the bottom line is doesn't matter what bike you have as long as you have fun because thats what its all about.

I am also 15 and I have a Honda sl230. I always say - A bad motorbike is better than a good car. My sl230 has better acceleration to 80kph (about 50mph) than my mums 2.2 lt suburu impresa.

Man, i hear about all them sl230's going slow... my KX-85 Pro goes way faster than them, sorry guys, but i think the need for speed is one of the better things of a dirtbike. If you dont have a dirtbike that can haul ass... get a new one... If you have the money. i think the dirtbike world is a Good one, By the way, I finally got my bike back up and running, fricking thing has some ballz now... WAY MORE! i would honestly guess about 80mph. We keep up with our 2003 Yamaha Banshee... on a fricking KX-85 -Indiancreekb2k-

Yeah, your YZ250F probably would beat any CRF, Yamaha are the 2nd fastest bikes i think, most reliable tho. i think the KTM is fastest, them things have major ballz. me and some of my good friends raced, KTM - Yamaha - KX and the KTM won, all 125 with FMF pipes. But i like KTM - Yamaha - Kawasaki. all good bikes.

Dirt biking is like Vegas you can go cheap or you can do it up!!

First your comparing apples and oranges. Dirt biking is dirt biking, and super cars are super cars. Now if you managed to get a top notch bike of your choice, custom and modified to be a speed demon, proper and top of the line riding gear, some tight transportation like a monster of a truck with big huevos to haul the bikes and gear, and equiptment, it might not be as expensive as super cars, but it sure as hell not cheap! Now lets measure on a different level, the "Fun" meter. There is nothing like dirt biking--it is totally awsome, gnarley, fuckin a good time. So maybe your not doing it right or something.
