I first owned a 125, and bought it for 'trail riding', you wont want it, the engines hate it, even if you ride it as hard as u can... they are just not meant to be used for that purpose, the CRF has way more torque and while the maintainence may be more expensive it is well worth it
ya thats cause the 2 stroke 125 is not ment for trail riding why would u buy it just for trail riding. but ur right the 4 stroke has more torque so it can race and trail ride but it was built to race more than trail ride by 4 stroke i meant the crf 250, but on the other hand the 2 stroke does not need as much torque its lighter than the 4 stroke
now how the cr 125 rides its a good bike i have a yz 125 2003 and my friend has a cr 125 2001. the only proibem that really stuck out to me was the frame. it was to bulky for me ya its aluminum but its so big and bulky i had probilems taking corners with it. my yz has a vary slim frame. so taking corners was easeir. its not aluminum but its way less bulkier than the honda cr 125 so they way about the same, it did good in performance, but for suspension i felt the yz had a little more comfort than the cr 125, now for performance wize there was not much of a diference, but honda is not putting to much money in them, the 2 strokes , when i was on it i felt like i was on a 4 stroke thats how the frame was, that should never be a factor for a 2 stroke honda when ur putting ur mony in the 125 2 stroke work on ur frame!, i mean i couldnt really tell the difference between the crf 250s frame and the cr 125s frame. yamaha there is a pretty big difference
the race four stokes like the crf250r are made for motocross and need alot of air to pass through the rads to keep them cool, a begginer using them for slow trail riding wouldnt be any fun having to stop and cool down ur overheated bike, try a crf250x there almost like the 250r but tonned down, i think they have bigger rads and a fan to keep them cool to
oh yeah and a 125 wouldnt be bad if it was jetted right, but to trail ride one of these u have to kno that a 2 stroke 125 has to be shifted alot and kept screaming to keep it up to power and stop if from fouling plugs and just running like crap
dude get the 120 its a wayy g
dude get the 120 its a wayy great bike if you bye it you wont b srry!
