I have an 02 XR200 and i was riding it and it was fine, we stopped and when i started it back up again it was making a ticking noise and its loud, i checked the oil and it was fine, i dont really know much about dirtbikes i just like to ride them but a friend of mine told me he thinks it might be the timing chain guides, i was just wondering if anyone else had any ideas of what it might be? Also, i was wondering if anyone knew any good websites for parts?

there can be a number of reasons for ticking and rattling noises in 4 strokes.
it could be that the cam chain is stretched. i dont suppose that you have had your valves checked ether. take it down to the bike shop and get them to check it out before you ride it or you run the risk of major haemoraging which will cost a lot of money. hope it helps
