waste of money i'd get a CRF 230 good bike you will have no troubles TT-R's are crap so wat if they can beat a YZ 85 or xr 100 there not even heaps fast bikes. anywayz catch ya
My wife has a TTR225 which perfectly suits her riding style. She is not fast, but faster than most of the other women riders.
The bike is very comfortable and easy to ride. Electric start. Virtually no maintenance except to oil the chain once and a while.
I like to jump on it just to have some fun in the bush when I take my 8yr old daughter as pillion. too dangerous to pillion with my Husky TE450 The TTRt is nice on the road as well.
It is a perfect choice for someone not intereseted in racing, but likes an easy and capable smaller bike for the bush.
The CRF 230 is a (slightly) quicker, better handling bike, but girls will find the seat too hard and will compain of the engine vibrations coming through the handlebars. There is no counter balancer in the engine.
i'm a girl, and i have ridin 1 a couple of times & i think they're great bikes. i'm thinkin about gettin 1. and i have nothin 2 complain about, & u can get a new seat if u really wanted 2. the handle bars don't bother me at all.
Yeah dont lisen to dirtbike_chick she is a moron its all your skill level i have only been riden for 3 years and i got a 2006 TT-R230 and for has long has i have been riden it is a awesome bike oooh and dirtbike_chick you should read te test that the pro's did on the TT-R230 and the CRF230 and im sorry to say well not really but yammy shit kick honda the TT-R230 does great on tracks and great for trail riden i ride both i ride in alot of muskeg, big rocky hill climbs, creeks pretty much every thing and i have had no problems
I have a 2004 TTR-225, after riding my husband's Suzuki DR350S my bike's a lot easier to handle. My husband calls it a "wife bike" and I guess he's right, but it's comfortable (even though I'm 6'1"), gives me all the power I need for desert/trail riding, and it's forgiving. I haven't had any troubles with mine, I ride about 4-5 times/week.
they just changes from 225 to 230 the exhaust may look a little different but basically the same. they both have a 223 displacement so your really getting the same bike out of both

Whats the difference
Is there a real difference between the 225 and the 230. is the exhaust any different?
