PICHON TESTS NEW RM-Z250

Multiple World Motocross Champion Mickael Pichon was impressed with his recent test of the new Suzuki RM-Z250 four-stroke motocross machine at England's Canada Heights circuit.

"The whole bike feels good. The engine is comparable to a 125 two-stroke but I feel there is much more power and especially more torque. It's unbelievable how fast you can turn and the traction is always there," said the 2001 and 2002 World Motocross Champion.

X-treme Lumezzane International Enduro

[image:1184,top] X-treme Lumezzane is touted the most beautiful, toughest, hardest, longest and richest enduro race in the World. This year the race lived up to it's name and attracted over 10,000 spectators to the mountainous village of Lumezzane in the region of Brescia, Northern Italy.

Current World Enduro Champion, Stefan Merriman emerged the winner of the famous international enduro race after 10 hours on Saturday, 2.5 hours in the night and 6.5 hours on Sunday. The stifling heat, tight time checks on the trail and 22 special tests in total made this year's race particularly difficult, with only 21 out of the 70 riders entered finishing.

Merriman won both day stages of the race and was only beaten in the night stage by Fausto Scovolo (who did not complete the first day stage due to mechanical problems and was thus excluded from final standings). Victory in both the 2 stroke class and overall classification earned Merriman 6,000 Euro ($12,000 AUD) for his efforts. [image:1185,bottom]

AMA 250cc Motocross Results

Windham again!

Coming into the Washougal round, it must have played on Kevin Windham's mind that Ricky Carmichael would be out to win at all costs, to re-establish his dominance over the 250cc Motocross class. We've all wondered, could he do it again?

AMA 125cc Motocross Results

James Stewart wins again with two first places at Washougal. Ryan Hughes came in second with a third and fourth place, and Michael Byrne came in third with seventh and second place finishes.

Unfortunately, no riders were able to match Stewarts pace, as in both Moto's he had around 20 seconds lead by the end. When will Stewart get a real challenge? When will he race the 250 class? Will Ricky be able to take Bubba?
