Motocross came out as the most popular pastime, with Trail Riding right behind, and Just Fun third.

No that its realted to dirtbikes at all, but I was in a shop the other day, and saw a DVD on special. Now there is nothing great about that, they've always got the latest hit movie on special, I picked up Spiderman from the same place.
Anyway, this DVD was "Iron Maiden - Visions of the Beast". Now, I cant say i'm an Iron Maiden fan as such, but I have somehow over the years acquired a copy of the "Number of the Beast" album, and its one of my favorite casettes (yes, still on casettes) for the ute that I tow the dirtbikes around behind, so perhaps it qualifies as being dirtbike related.
The recent poll on dirtbike.ws was about what your next bike purchase will be. The results are very interesting, as most people will stick with the same brand If they are very happy with the bike. Brand loyalty also counted highly for people who would stick with the same brand.

I arrived in Pinnaroo around 730pm. No one at the caravan park so I headed off to the pub. No sign of anyone yet. Ended up meeting some locals but come 10pm I was wondering if I had the wrong weekend. Shortly after Dave and Mark walked in the door.

Well, i was starting to think that Charlies Angels: Full Throttle might not be worth a cinema trip. Lots of reviews around the 'net basically canned it as having no plot, too much action, too many babes (yeah, right).
But this one has turned it around for me.

For the days leading up to the June long weekend, it poured with rain. Not a little, a lot. Three and a half inches at Dergholm!
I was ride coordinator for this trip, and had a couple of phone calls checking if it was still on, you'd almost think that we were Australian Summer Motorcycle Trail Riders Association!
Friday morning I loaded up the bike in the rain, all the while thinking that maybe it was just a little bit crazy to be going in this weather, which was forcast to get only slightly better for the weekend.

After waking about 5 times during the night, from 3am onwards, thinking I'd better get up to go, i finally managed to get myself out of bed a bit after 7am.
A quick shower, dressed, put the trailer on, load the bike, and off we go. Went along a "short cut", only to find the road closed, and had to double back, costing me about 15 minutes. 
This saw me leaving at about 7:30, which meant that some of the speed limits along the way were accidentally overlooked in the interests of being there on time.
